Portraits in Nature is a hand-crafted collection of realistic plush animals. Artists working in a socially responsible and environmentally responsible studio create each Hansa animal from portraits of the creature in its natural habitat.
The Hansa Story Artisan hand sew the animals "inside out", an old world tradition that results in the minimization of seams, and their bodies are carefully "sculpted" to create "musculature" and "features" like movement in a walking or sitting position that are unique to each creature. On average, there are 42 separate pieces required to make each animal, that must be combined by a team of truly creative artists to create the distinctly realistic features that characterize HANSA animals. (Some animals have as many as 240 different parts!) Each animal is individually hand sewn, to give it a unique "personality", there are more than 860 different fabrics and man-made furs from which the "coat" and "hides" are made, along with over 6000 sets of different eyes, whiskers, claws, noses, and related accessories allocated for creating these wonderful plush animals. Stuffing emphasizes careful attention to the placement of the highest quality man-made materials.When you hold these wonderfully "life-like" animals, you will see and feel HANSA's emphasis on quality, which is a result of careful attention to design, custom fabric selection, cutting, sewing, stuffing, eye placement, feature creation, framing, air brushing and finishing. Since each animal is hand sewn, there will be slight variations in appearance.

To clean product, use soft cloth, soap, and warm water to remove dirt then wipe with clean, moist cloth to remove soap. leave to dry then brush gently.
All Hansa plush animals are handcrafted using only new materials and complies to International safety standards EN71, ASTMF 96386, AS1647, BS5665. Please remove the Tag and Plastic strip before giving it to a child. Recommended age 3 years & up.

I have amassed quite a few Hansa stuffed animals and they're all wonderful, but this black cat is now my favorite! Currently, I have three pets of my own, a dog and two cats. Every night, when we feed our brood, we leave food on our porch for whatever critter happens to come by. We had been feeding a very pretty black and white puddy. One day, my husband was coming home from somewhere and he saw our little black and white sweetheart dead on the road, probably hit by a car. I was very saddened. I bought this little one to help console me and to be a remembrance of the little black and white cat who was always too shy to approach. Thank you, Hansa, for making the best stuffed animals anywhere!
This was a gift. I spoke to my friend and she was enchanted. She said that it was very well made and noted that "they really got the mouth right" in terms of making it look like a real cat. I told her that based on the picture, if I were near that toy, it would make me sneeze. (I'm allergic to cats.)
I ordered this cat for a friend’s daughter. It is almost identical to the cat they own. It was the biggest hit of their Christmas. It’s a beautiful stuffed animal and I’m so happy the little girl loved it so much. Thank you.
